Paul Goulart received the S.B. and S.M. degrees in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Cambridge, where he was a Gates Cambridge Scholar.

From 2007 to 2011, he was a Lecturer in Control Systems with the Department of Aeronautics at Imperial College London, London, U.K., and from 2011 to 2014, he was a Senior Researcher with the Automatic Control Laboratory of ETH Zurich. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Engineering Science, University of Oxford where he is a member of the Control Group
